Distinct features
The tools in IPMwise can assist in both the planning and the effectuation of weed control in your field. You can also study conditions affecting needs for control and control options. In cases when there are no suggestions for specific weed control, IPMwise offers means to investigate in which earlier or later growth stages control is possible and ultimately suggestions for crop rotation.
Distinct features in IPMwise
- override IPM efficacy with your own efficacies e.g. useful before the growing of certain seed crops
- optimize herbicide treatment using your own herbicides and prices
- prevent herbicide resistance by avoiding repeated use of risky modes of action of certain herbicides
- get information concerning the potential risks of resistance development for herbicides
- marking of weed species especially exposed to herbicide resistance
- avoid certain herbicide mode of actions of your choice
- control extreme weed populations (low and high densities, late growth stages)
- save and reuse your selections e.g. on a field level, farm level or advisor level
- get advice on mechanical treatments, preliminarily in maize, sugarbeets, and winter rape
- get an overview of all control options in a crop using your own weed species
- get alternative advice in case of no need for control
- get alternative control options for a field with no direct control options
- get an easy to use user interface asking only for strictly necessary information
- get access using common devices with an internet connection (PC, tablet, smartphone) and browsers (Internet Explorer, Crome, Safari)
Other options (non distinct)
- get herbicide tank mixtures curently approved and available on the market including the related restrictions
- get the expected effect on your weed population for the different control options
- get advice on control of already resistant weed species
- minimize and order treatment options according to price, treatment frequency index (TFI), and environmental load indicator
